Amazing winter to spring basics on sale now at COS

A snowy January evening is probably the best time to scan through the last of the sales and find some great finds that can be carried on from Winter to Spring. Today I was browsing through the COS website to check out the preview of their new season collection and realised they still have a massive sale going. I already mentioned in the past how much I love the elegant pieces from COS but I didn't really check out the sale until today which made me realise they actually have some lovely pieces that can definitely serve as wonderful  transitional pieces and at 50% what can be better than some elegant and bright items to help banish just a little bit of the winter blues?

Here are some of my favourite pieces, I just hope they will still be there on pay day !

New in - Isabel Marant Etoile Zot printed t-shirt

I admit that my latest sales spending may have been absolutely over the top and yesterday was the nail in the coffin. I popped into a local designer fashion shop on my lunch break with a friend from work, it was only meant for to be 'a quick look'. I initially told myself I won't be going there when the sale was going on , mainly because I knew they they had some items I had on my original sales list that I decided I won't be purchasing, one of them was a very similar Isabel Marant skirt which was actually sold out by the time I got to the shop, but then I saw this T-shirt and tried to tell myself to just leave it and not go into the dressing room but ended doing so after all whilst trying to tel myself I won't like the way it looks, obviously that didn't work out as I planned , I put the t-shirt on and really loved it, it was comfy and airy and felt so soft (yes, so much convincing work!) and ended up getting it with some store credit I had left. I'm really happy that I got it, the 50% discount together with the store credit made a huge difference and I think that although this is a Autumn/Winter item , this t-shirt is definitely going to be one of my favourite items when the weather gets a little warmer.

McQ bracelet.

I admit that most of the time I'm guilty of piling on too many bracelets and all sorts of arm candy but I think I may have found the perfect arm candy companion to end all of the arm candy wars going on my arms every time I decide to wear some bracelets. This lovely bracelet pretty much covers all of my insane arm piling needs, it's light, noticeable but not too overpowering and would probably look great with most outfits. I stumbled across this beauty by McQ in my local Harvey Nichols and it's actually on sale now and even though I promised myself that I will not be making anymore sales purchases , this one was hard to say no to, I love it so much it's pretty much been on my arm every day since I got it.

My fascination with manly shoes will never go away, this is a lovely pair I've been dreaming about since hell knows when. They're finally on sale but I made a promise to myself that I will absolutely wait until the end of the month, once I'm done with all the Christmas related shopping , the bills and all of this month's expenses ... I hope they're ugly enough to wait for me till then ! 

On the lookout

Sale season is almost upon us and one of my rules when it comes to this time of the year is to have a look around and mark my favourite items so I can manage my budget and splurge a little when the items are finally discounted.

I have already hunted down some of my favourite items, my criteria is very simple, a good quality item that I'll be able to wear either year round or in seasons to come. This list has a little bit of both, some will be way off my budget even when the sales begin and some might be forgotten by the times the sales come but nevertheless I always enjoy making a list of my favourite items so I don'y have the urge to buy whatever I see and allow myself to easily skip the madness that is usually part of the sales season.
